BtCR - May

Another simple Christmas card - using very similar colours to last month as I am using up papers!! This time Stars not snowflakes!
I made my own mask with an SU boarder star punch and sponged navy ink through the mask and a light blue ink using my SU Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  Added a few stars and some bling and card sorted!

I've made another 7 cards so my tally is now up to 44!
Thanks for looking and please pop over to Karen's blog and get making some Christmas cards now!!

Stuck?! Sketches and UKS Weekly Challenge - May Week 2

The mid-month challenge from Stuck!? Sketches
UKS weekly challenge was set below (please excuse the copy and pasting!!)
For 10 points use a photograph (s) that focuses on an object. Choose something like a building; statue; piece of art. A book; door; window; tree; plant; flower or even food!
People or animals can be in the photo, if you want, but the star of the LO should be the “thing”.
For 5 points include something black and white on the page.
5 more points for including a cluster of embellishments, or one large embellie, somewhere on the LO.
5 points for using white cardstock as the back ground.
Finally, use a one word title for the remaining 5 points.
I have used photos taken from my second trip to Tower of London to see the Poppies in October and there were a lot more (my first visit being in August).  I have used MCS kit - February main kit featuring Carte Bella Yesterday papers. The flowers are from the kit, bling is from my stash and the 'Remember' is also from the kit and is Heidi Swapp.
The Poppies are a Stampin Up Stamp which has retired and I have coloured them in using ink and a blender pen also from SU.

Thanks for looking, I really enjoyed this challenge and sketch.

Stuck?! Sketches/ UKS Weekly Challenge May week 1

This weeks sketch from Stuck?! sketches and this weeks UKS challenge is to use photos from a holiday (Christmas/Easter/Bank Holiday), minimum of 3 photos and kraft cardstock.
I've used some photos from December 2013 when Sam's carer Harriet took him into the city to see the Coca-cola truck (we all went back in the evening...I loved it!).  I love the photo of Sam and Harriet as her clearly adores her!
I have used 'Holiday' photos, three of them and there is Kraft cardstock matting the photos and PP.    I have used an old MCS kit form December featuring Carte Bella papers.
Only a splatterihng of bling as I felt the page really didn't require anymore.  I have used pearls from my stash and the red is from Stampin Up.

The alphas are American Crafts and Carte Bella
Thanks for looking and please pop over to the Stuck?! blog, give the sketch a go and see the fab DT's work, I love how everyone has their own interpretation of the sketch.
