BtCR - February

I personally feel that Christmas cards that are sent en mass need to be quick and simple and easy to produce.  I have used one coloured cardstock, one coloured ink and two stamps - some embossing and a small piece of ribbon. You can't get more simple as that!

Please pop over to Sue's blog and join us all in Beat the Christmas Rush and start making those Christmas cards now - I've made another 9 cards, so I am well on my way and its only February!

Birthday Cards!

I am struggling to make cards at the moment, so receiving a handmade card from me at the moment is quiet a privilege, as I have lost my card-making mojo and lacking the inspiration to make them.
However I've had a few special Birthdays and one of them was an 18th for a male (eek....hate boys cards!).  So I have used the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set from Stamping up.
Embossing folder is a Tim Holtz one, along with all the metal work on the card.
I have used Prima Cartographer collection of papers.

Two female cards (thankfully!) and I have used pre-coloured images from Lili of The Valley and I have used Feb My Creative Scrapbook Kit - full of Prima flowers and papers.

Butterflies, Bling and Pins are all from my stash.

Tower Poppies

Another challenge - and one with a sketch, which I love working with a sketch!
However I hated doing this challenge as we were challenged to use one colour (monochrome), three PPs and ribbon ,
This was my page below of the Tower Poppies at the Great Tower of London and the Poppies from 2014 - I had the chance to go and see them twice! They were stunning!
I have used Prima flowers and bling

The stamped poppies are from and old Stampin Up stamp - which I love and will never part with as I love poppies (so does my Mum!)
I was lucky enough to purchase one of these poppies (and one for my Mum) as by the end of October they had sold out.

More UKS Challenges

Another challenge - a celebration, red and bling - and this photo is of Jack on his 15th birthday back in 2013!
Again - another MCS kit - I think it was Julys main kit!
I've added the bling, buttons, butterfly and title alphabet.
I also used this kit to scrapbook this photo from 2013 when I went away for a girlie crafting weekend to Dorset and we took this photo just before we left to go home.

Thanks as always for stopping by to check out my blog!

Cropping and Challenges!

Good morning bloggers! Yesterday I went to my first crop of 2015 and not only did I manage to complete some challenges but I also scrapped some photos from 2013 that are sitting in a box ready to complete my 2013 album.  Below is a sketch from Sue - you can find her blog here.
This photo below is of my boys at the Pumpkin farm.  I have used My Creative Scrapbook kit - October main kit featuring a combination of I {heart} fall, Echo Park papers and A perfect autumn, Carte Bella papers. I've added butterflies and bling to finish off my page!

The Seeds Palette below is for UKS Feb monthly challenge, and again I used Sue's sketch.
Again, another photo from 2013, this was the last time we had a decent snowfall and caused schools to close - January 2013.
Again papers from another MCS kit (an old one that is almost finished!!) featuring Fancy Pants Timber Grove papers.  I've added some bling, butterfly and punched some snowflakes.

Another page completed yesterday - taken Dec 2013 - when the Coca Cola Lorry visited Chichester
The shaped paper is from Kaisercraft - again this is another MCS kit - Decembers kit

I have completed another page but that will have to wait as I am trying out again for another design team - so watch this space!! ;-)

UKS January Challenges

A few scrapbook challenges from me - this one below was to to 'alter' plain cardstock (I've used a butterfly stamp), use scraps of PP and make sure your handwriting is visible
This is a photo of myself and a girlfriend when we went to ladies day at Goodwood in August last year.  I have used a selection of papers from a MCS kit (not sure which one!), Prima flowers and bling and of course my pages are not complete without a few butterflies!!

This challenge was to use a quote from the Disney movie 'Frozen' - this happens to be a big favourite in our house - Sam loves Olaf and happen to get a big Olaf for Christmas - so I had the perfect photo for the page!
This piece of paper worked well for this photo and didn't require much additional embellishments - I added some ribbon, buttons and some blingy snowflakes and circles!

Thank you for looking and I hope to try and update my blog more often so please pop back!
