This weeks prompts 7-12 is about conversation writing - it is difficult to have a decent conversation with either of my boys - Jack is a typical teenager and I get the occasional grunt and Sam being autistic, conversation can be very difficult! So before Fathers day I got both boys to fill in a questionnaire that I found on Pinterest about their Dad. These photos were taken on Fathers Day in the garden when we had a family BBQ. I have used Simple Stories papers again (I love them!)
Following Shimelle's prompts I focused on the conversation/questionnaire (its hidden behind the LO), I have chosen some of my favorite papers at them moment which are Simple Stories - I love the colours and I also use the papers a lot in my Project Life album. I've used a stack of embellishments - The felt/fabric flowers and clouds are left over from a Basic Grey kit. Followed Shimelle's sketch, and used my smallest stamps - which happens to be a star stamp!
The completed questionnaires are hidden behind the LO.
A lovely memory to look back on - some of their answers made me smile, maybe I should get them to fill one in about me!
Thanks for looking and if you looking for Shimelle's prompts you can find them here on UKS
Good Morning and Happy Fathers Day to all those Dad's out there!
I don't like making 'Male' cards...and making 3 at once was a killer! However for the WCY on UKS we had to make a card from the 52 card challenge - and I chose week 23 'Manly' cards seeing as Fathers Day was right around the corner! This card is for the Man in our house as I've not been able to post a photo until today incase he peeked on my blog by accident!
I have used Cogs and Gears all by Tim Holtz and the sentiment used is from a new set of stamps I bought from Waltzing Mouse - they are a fab set perfect sentiments for Fathers Day and Dad's birthdays!
I also may finally use the topper on this card on a Layout using a photo taken today of Daddy with his boys!
Thanks for taking the time to look! And a special Happy Fathers Day goes to my Dad, Bernard, my FIL John and the best Daddy to my boys my lovely hubby Pete - fingers crossed for sunshine this afternoon as chef Jack is cooking a BBQ!!!
More challenges completed - This one is the June 'Have I got scrap for you!' - using big photos, washi tape and old/dated stash - you can see the challenge here on UKS
A photo of my sister on her wedding day in 2007. I don't have any Washi tape so used strips of paper. The old stash I used was some old Prima paper butterflies I forgot I had and a Prima fabric tag that I have had in my stash forever!
I have used Prima Divine papers and a bit of Websters pages!
Snap 2013 - Week 23 - Cupcakes!
Again using Prima papers and embellishments - Tea Thyme Collection.
These cupcakes were chocolate with chocolate popping candy sprinkled on top to finish them off!
We Challenge You! - A new scrapping challenge over on UKS, full details can be found here.
The challenge is to complete 7 challenge Layouts and one card over the next two months (June and July) from UKS this must include a MC, WC, Snap 2013, Shimelle's new challenge, Simple recipes, Have I got scrap for you, Old stash/New Stash and the 52 cards challenge. I decided to start early as I was cropping yesterday at Littlegreen School, then I can hopefully choose from my best LO's!
This months MC - Using one of three quotes as inspiration. This is a photo of my gorgeous nephew taken back in 2007. I have used Prima and Websters papers and embellishments.
June Week 1 Challenge - Scrapbook clothing/accessories, clock face, fabric trim and visible journalling. This is a photo of me in my wedding dress and then years later when my dress was made into a christening gown for my boys.
I have used Prima Devine collection of papers and embellishments.
I have also included a tiny bit of lace that was from my dress!
June Week 2 - Outdoor theme, stripes and blue. Photos taken in the garden of my nieces and nephew (the baby above!) on my birthday last year. I have used Crate Paper Maggie Holmes collection.
