WOYWW - June 29th

Hello, sorry for the delay but I have been having terrible problems with blogger and I understand there are problems with blogger and internet explorer -so I am here trying to update my blog using Google Chrome - and here is my desk!! Not much working going on but there are plenty of projects in progress!! It has been so warm here - in the UK we go from one extreme to the other - one minute it is cold and raining and then we go straight into a heatwave - working in a un-airconditioned hospital lab has been exhausting - so I have come home and almost gone straight to bed, so no crafting!
However the lovely weather outside has allowed my boys to go out for the first time and really enjoy the adventure

Thanks for taking the time to look - and don't forget to pop over to Julia's blog and take a look at everyone's WOYWW

WOYWW - June 22nd

Hello - and welcome to my work desk this Wednesday - I am currently working on 2 LO's for future DT pages - one using the lovely Bo-Bunny Gabrielle papers and the other using Websters Pages Yacht club collection. The distress inks are out again in full action thanks to a lovely TH style tag class last week (see prev post!) - so everything is being inked again!!! My desk is looking quiet tidy - however the floor and chair are not!

As for the boys - they have been running round and playing like a couple of mad cats - I've had to tell them off at least a dozen times to get off my table - esp when I had the embossing powder out at one stage!! Sandi is at the top of the photo and Dara at the bottom - and I don't know who is worse - they are as bad as one another!
Thanks for looking and please pop over to Julia's blog to check out everyone's desk this week!

Tim Holtz Style tags - 2nd class

I have had a wonderful day tag making at Jendenink - this is the 2nd time I have been Tim Holtz style tag making - and I have enjoyed today as much as I did last time (you can see my first 6 tags here and Jennie has told me she is doing a Christmas tag making session too - I can't wait!!

Here are my tags I made below

This was probably the easiest tag - using the TH clock die that had been embossed with black embossing powder, the tag has been embossed using the TH clock faces embossing folder. I have used distress inks Barn Door and Fired Brick and the edges have been warmed with Aged Mahogany and a little bit of Black Soot.
This tag has used the TH Kraft resist paper - and inks Mustard seed, Spiced Marmalade, Aged Mahogany and Vintage photo. The tag was then spritzed with copper mist. The little wooden heart embellishment has been 'aged' with Vintage Photo. The flower is a detachable broach - it has been made using the TH Tattered Flower die - I have cut out felt, lace and chiffon and layered it, sewn together with a few beads in the centre - this would be a lovely gift!

This tag is using printed tissue paper from 7-Gypsies ( I think!) and the embossing folder and the car are both TH - I have used Black soot distress ink. A very simple tag - one colour ink and perfect for a male a card.

One of my favourite tags from the day - using TH embellishments and tag die cut. I have used Mustard Seed, Forest Moss, Spiced Marmalade, and Aged Mahogany

This tag was embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder, inks used were Old Paper, Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive, Pine Needles and Antique Photo. TH tag and the die cut is wood that has been aged with Antique photos.

This tag is using the TH Shapers and movers bird, cage and imagine. I have used colours Weathered Wood, Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, Aged Mahogany and Chipped Sapphire. The bird cage stand is the bottom of the dress form die.

Thanks for looking!

WOYWW - June 15th

Another busy week for me - can't believe we are at Wednesday again! I've been busy making invites for a friend - she wanted 'Pink and Pretty' - and pink is what she got! I also had a huge amount of help making them as you can see below!

I have used SU cardstock, ink, ribbon and sentiment, MS butterfly, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nesties and Waltzing Mouse stamps and a few flowers and pearly bling to finish them off!
This is my desk - just before I was off to bed - I am exhausted, however the 5am wake up call from the furbabies really doesn't help! The laptop is open on the Tesco site as I am busy multitasking and updating my delivery for tommorrow morning, the beginnings of a CCW DT layout, a slimming world receipe book with the shopping list to get some low fat meal ideas, and I am the proud owner of a new Kindle (orange case) - I love it!!

Thanks for taking the time to stop and don't forget to pop back over to Julia's blog and see WOYWW!!

10 Things on the Tenth of the Month

Shimelle has started a blogging of ten things on the tenth! It can be 10 photos, 10 crafty ideas, 10 recipes, 10 things in a collection - anything as long as its 10 things on the 10th!

Lists - I am always writing lists, shopping lists, things to do lists, it never ends! I've not been feeling myself recently so I thought maybe today I would have a list of 10 things to do - maybe not complete everything on the list but at least start everything and I am going to make sure to put some 'nice' things on my list too!
1. Sort out the stash on the floor - I was suppose to start this on Wednesday but it was left - and as you can see by the above photo its spreading again!

2. Have a soak in a hot bath

3. Get a load of washing in the machine

4. Go in to Sam's bedroom and sort his book case and Lego

5. Make homemade Pizza for tea

6. Get in the garden (however as I type this it is raining -but according to the weather forecast we have sunshine this afternoon!) It's looking so bare and depressing and I've normally got all my pots planted by now - I've not got many flowers to pot up - but I do have tomatoes and sunflowers that can go in pots!

7. Load the dishwasher!

8. Phone Dyson about my broken machine!

9. Drink lots of water today.

10. Have cuddles with my furbabies today (this is most certainly going to happen) and I will give my boys hugs when then come home from school as I shouted at both of them this morning to get ready - but then that happens most mornings!!
Thanks for looking and sharing your 10 things on the 10th - I look forward to blog hopping and taking a look!

WOYWW - June 8th

Hello!! What a week - I've not stopped and I am exhausted - not feeling 100% at the moment - and not done any crafting since last Wednesday :-( On my desk/table tonight is a page I've completed for Sam's birthday album, a finished card and a pile of 12 x 12 papers! Can you see the brown box in the middle? Jack has to make a memory box for school - it has to contain 6 items of memorabilia from Romeo and Juliet - so far he has a mask from the ball, the invite from the ball and a letter to Juliet (he is Romeo) - so it is work in progress! Last week I treated myself to a new Cath Kidston bag (on the table next to the chair) - I love it -but can never find anything in it! I have also decided to go through my 12 x 12 papers and have a sort through - how do you store yours - by manufacturer/style/colours?? I would love to know.

This is the page for Sam's Birthday album - I have a template on my PC and I print a copy of the current birthday photos, record age, how we celebrated the birthday, cake and what presents were received - its a quick and simple LO and goes in an 8.5 x 11 album - both boys have an album each. Last night I was looking at Jack's album with him and he counted how many empty pages were in his album - there was enough to go up until he was 25 - he then told me he wasn't leaving home until he was at least 25!!!
Here is the completed card - I have used some old Heidi grace papers - they were perfect for this Sugar Nellie image, complete with Prima flowers, ribbon and sentiment is from LOTV.

As for my boys tonight - peacefully sleeping beside me!

Thanks for taking the time to look, and don't forget to pop over the WOYWW and have a look at what is on everyone's desk this week

CCW - Scrapmap Challenge - June 4th

The Sketch!

Along with this weeks sketch, the challenge is to do some stamping on your LO - a journal box, a title or like me a few stars! This LO is a photo of Jack at Sports Day back in 2007 - he was so proud of his 2nd place!

I have used Crate Paper - Toybox collection

WOYWW - June 1st

I am colouring tonight - no scrapbooking as I am making a special retirement card. I've had a manic day at work and have a headache so I find colouring relaxing. I am colouring a Sugar Nellie image and I am using a combination of Pro-markers and Prisma Pencils. You might be able to see in the back of the photo I've had a Stampin Up delivery too! :-)

Here is my image all coloured ready for my card (but that will have to wait until tomorrow!)
and of course I have had 2 assistants tonight!! Dara has been sitting on the table in the hope of getting a Digestive biscuit!

and Sandi has been very helpful sitting on my pencils and chewing the paper stumps - so you can see why I only got one image coloured in tonight - as I am typing this they are both sitting beside me waiting to go to bed!!!

Time for me to update the Tesco grocery delivery due tomorrow and then off to bed - I am shattered!! Don't forget to pop over to Julia's blog to have a look at everyone's desk this Wednesday!
