WOYWW - July 27th

Hello and welcome to my desk! Week one of the school holidays and so far we are doing OK!

Tonight I have been finishing off a couple of LO's that I had started and not finished. The one pictured below is a UKS PAWSF challenge.

A photo of me holding my new niece and I have used the lovely Bellaboo kit featuring the papers Butterfly garden by Pink Paislee. The challenge was to scrap one of the SF finalists and I think I probably choose the most difficult - it was a bit fiddly, but so worth it!
gorgeous Prima flowers and butterfly!

all the elements used were from the Bellaboo kit.

This LO was a UKS challenge to use a photo as inspiration and the LO had to be a celebration. The colours matched Jack's school colours perfectly and the celebration is Jack collecting his awards at Prize giving.

as for the fur babies tonight - Dara is in Daddy's arms having a cuddle

and Sandi is in Jack's - However they were running around like mad cats all evening before these photos were taken!!

Thanks for looking and don't forget to pop over to Stampin Ground and take a look at everyone's desk!

WOYWW - July 20th

Hello everyone! Yay for the last week of term - but today has been manic, it wasn't until I got to 4pm I realised I hadn't had a cup of tea all day (and any cups before 6am don't count - I get up at about 5.30am thanks to my fur babies!!). Although my day has been manic - it has been wonderful too!! My working day started later because I attended Jack's Prize giving ceremony - such a proud Mummy moment when Jack went up to collect his awards in Design and Technology and Religious Education. Here is my gorgeous boy with his certificates - I can't believe he'll be 13 on Saturday!

I did however manage to finish a card today - all pink birthday card using a Sugar Nellie image and Heidi Grace papers.
a few Prima flowers

a Lili of the valley sentiment

and a pin to finish it off!

The other reason I had a wonderful day was I got to hold my new niece - she was born late Monday night and has been in special care because she had a slight infection - but she is all well now and gorgeous!! The Wilkins side of the family don't 'do' girls - My FIL is an only child - he went on to have 2 boys (my hubby and his brother Paul), Paul went on to have 2 boys (my nephews Daniel and Jason), and we have 2 boys (Jack and Sam). Paul finally after years of being single met Nadine (his sole mate!) - and they decided to have a baby - and here she is - a Wilkins girl!! It is so lovely to have some 'pink' injected into our lives - especially as I have 2 beautiful nieces from my sister - but she lives so far away and I don't get to see them much :-(

So here is me with my new niece!

Lauren Lucy

and as for the furbabies - they are running round like madcats tonight - playing with a box!!

Until next Wednesday - pop over to Julia's blog and have a look at WOYWW!

10 things!

I have just realised I forgot to blog my 10 things this month - it has been a manic week and I just don't know where the time has gone! Today - 10th July Pete and I are celebrating our 18th Wedding Anniversary - so my 10 things are - Why I love this man!

1. He said 'I do' 18 years ago today.

2. He is my rock - he may not 'say' or 'do' much but he is there, always!

3. He is supporting me while I try and lose weight.

4. He works so hard to support our family.

5. Almost 13 years ago (23rd July) - he helped me bring this wonderful young man into the world - Jack Connor, who may look like me - but he is just like his Dad!!

6. He makes me laugh!

7. He never moans when another 'Pizza Box' turns up - he lets me go to crops and even weekends away - all for the sake of 'photos, papers and embellishments'!!

8. 10 years ago he also helped me bring this special little boy in the world - Samuel Peter. Sam is wonderful and challenging, Pete is so patient and good with him.
9. He lets me be 'in charge' - ask all my boys - 'Mummy is the boss'

10. He loves me!

These photos were all taken today when we went for a walk up Kingley Vale - we are so lucky where we live, and I am so lucky to have Pete, Jack and Sam in my life.

Don't forget to pop of to Shimelle's blog and catch up on everyone and their 10 things!

Sam's Garden

Yesterday I spent most of the day in the garden planting up pots and a hanging basket. Our back garden is small and is all patio - so everything is in pots or baskets, however it is very safe and secure for Sam. As many of my blog readers know - Sam is Autistic and has no sense of fear or danger - so at age 10 he cannot go and play outside the front of the house, and ride a bike like other children do of his age. So the safest place for him is the back garden - couple of years ago Pete built him a water trough - he loved playing with water, last year at Sam's request we turned it into a pond and put some fish in it - we have 8 goldfish which Sam chose last year.

Around Sam's pond is pots of flowers and in the flowers are spinning wind catchers, windmills, wind chimes and many more little sparkly things that catch the sunlight. Sam loves things that spin, he will sit in the garden for hours on the swing seat watching them and listening to the wind chimes. As soon as the pots are filled with flowers a burst of colour appears in our garden with all the colourful wind chimes and spinners - it becomes Sam's garden. The pink flower - is a solar light and the centre lights up in the evening, the lanterns light up in the evening with candlelight, along with the solar lights so when Sam goes to bed we can enjoy the garden in peace and quiet!

I can't take the credit for these two baskets - I give my local nursery two empty baskets in March and I get them back looking beautiful in June!

However this one by my front door is mine - it will look lovely when in full bloom.

and this one is by the front door too

Thanks for looking
