Insprired by Ali - Feb Wk 2 UKS Challenge

I was inspired by the LO below by Ali Edwards - please go over and check out her projects - Ali has inspired me with lots of her work and I love that she scrapbooks the 'ordinary' photos of everyday life.
This photo didn't have really anywhere to go. It was taken on Sam's 6th Birthday - but it wasn't one of him opening his presents, blowing out his candles or celebrating with friends. It was the perfect photo of Sam taking his surroundings, all the decorations and balloons around him on the morning of his Birthday - and I love it!
I have used a combination of EP Little Boy papers and Basic Grey Basics, Hambly Cupcake overlay, luggage tag is from Rymans, American Craft thickers, Metal frame is Stampin Up and a selection of stamps from Technique Tuesday - Ali Edwards, Heidi Swapp and Tim Holtz.
For the UKS weekly challenge it was to used at least 3 PP's (check), and border punch (Stampin Up - check!) and multiple photos - which I didn't - only used the one!
Thanks for looking

Pencil Lines Sketch 225

I have had a very productive day scrapbooking today and here is my take on this weeks Pencil Lines sketch numer 225
I think the reason why I have such a satisfying day scrapbooking is because I have gone back to playing catch up - I have finished a number of pages from legoland 2007 and then I moved on to Sam's 6th Birthday! Below is my LO following the sketch. I have used the lovely Echo Park little boy papers - these are perfect for bright happy photos and pages.
I have used Magnolia brick wall stamps and lightly sprayed the paper with Denim Blue TA Glimmer Mist, American Craft Thickers, thread and brads are from my stash.
This photo shows the sheer joy Sam had when he got the present he wanted for his birthday.
Come back tomorrow to see the other LO that goes with this page
Thanks for looking!
Hugs Sarah x x x x
ps - My Boy is home - tired, smelly but had the most amazing time skiing - no photos of him skiing (good job I took a photo before he left!) - but he has definately got the skiing bug!!

WOYWW - Feb 16th

Its a tidy craft area!! and a table I can craft at - instead of the dumping ground of last week!
Tonight I have finished a card for a birthday boy - which you can see on my SU Blog. I have finished a LO for the CCW challenge which goes live on Saturday and I am currently working on a Pencil lines Sketch - which is a photo of my beloved furbaby who I miss very much. He has been gone only 5 days and when Jack returns from his school trip on Saturday I have to tell him he has gone - so we will all be sad again :-(

As you can see - my craft area is tidy again and a bit more organised - I have done some re-organisation so some more of my craft stuff is more accessible - and the stuff I don't use so much is on the higher shelves or at the back.
back to my crafting and see you again next week - thanks as always for taking a look

Taken too soon :-(

A very sad end to my day - My poor furbaby has been unwell for a couple of days and I had to take him to the vet this evening - and it turns out he had quiet a nasty tumour on his Kidney ( I did feel this yesterday) - he went in to Kidney failure - and went down hill very fast and was in a great deal of pain. So I had to make the sad decision to let him go - he was only 6 years old.
These are the final two photos I took of him just a few weeks ago - the one above asleep on my bed and the one below warming his cold feet on the radiator. I still can't believe how quickly he became so ill and how short his life was - he was a real 'Mummy's Boy' and was my surprise Christmas present from Pete 6 years ago. I am so upset and I will miss him so very much.
Goodbye my little furry friend - I will miss you very much, your life was too short.
Hugs and kitty kisses

WOYWW - Feb 9th

Its a tip!!!
I am so busy at the moment with work and 'stuff'' - I didn't plan on crafting tonight, was going to tidy up but then did 2 more pages for my JYC! I will get my desk sorted by next week as I have my sister visiting and she'll want to have a good nosey!! Can you see on the end of my table, sun lotion and tablets - all ready for my baby (who is 12!!!) as he is off skiing on Friday with the school (see post below for pictures). Empty cup - just finshed a lovely cup of tea, and there is still SU stuff everywhere as I have my first 'proper' SU workshop on Friday and I'm still not organised for it!!
Thanks for visiting and I promise a tidy desk next week!!!

My baby is going Skiing!!

He certainly looks the part! We had a trial run today (after I had labelled everything!) of all the kit he has to wear and the layers he needs to keep warm! On Friday Jack is off to Austria to go Skiing with the school, he can't wait - me I can't wait until the following Saturday when he is home!
I thought I better take the opportunity to take a couple of photos - he is taking the camera with him - but will he think to ask someone to take photo of him remains to be seen - I do hope so!
We've checked the webcam (oh the joys of the internet) and the snow looks fab in Austria - wish I was going with him (I went skiing with the school at the same age - will save that photo for another time!!) - however I don't envy the 18 hr coach journey they have - those teachers must be saints!!!!
