Basic Grey LO's

I love Basic Grey papers and their embellishments, I always have and last year I started the Basic Grey Page Of The Month Kit - and have continued with it this year thanks to Katie at Cre8tive. Most of the LO's from last year and quiet a few of this years have been from Kelly Goree - go and check out her blog - her work is fantastic!! I found this sketch on Kelly's blog and she used BG Oliver papers for her page - so as this is my fav BG papers at the moment (move over Archiac!!) - I decided to use BG Oliver collection too!
This is a photo of my boys at the beach on the IOW (as always) in April and it was bitterly cold!! Everything I have used is BG Oliver collection
Love the journalling boxes and the embellishments!

and these lovely rubber embellies just 'pop' off the page!!

Below is a DLO - August Page of the month kit - BG Oliva collection (twin sister of the Oliver collection) - but panic - I don't do girly pages!! But thanks to the neutral colours - it muted out the pink in the papers and I have scrapbooked some photos from Jack's 12th Birthday.
Right page
Love this collection too!!
Left page
I decided to omit the 'baby' banner that was on the original sketch!!;-)
Thanks for looking - and don't forget to check out Kelly's blog!!

Creative Craft World Challenge

CCW challenge can be found here - I have done a LO (not using an image but one photo - will save that for a card to be added later!!) - the challenge was to scrap a celebration - wedding of my cousin -use one ribbon, 2 PP's and 3 flowers. I have used June 2010 Total Papercrafts kit and the shell heart was in the kit - it is so perfect for a wedding LO.
I have used my new Martha Stewart punch on the 2nd piece of PP and I have used Pumice Stone distress ink
The flowers are Prima and the brads are Papermania and American Craft thickers

Sarah on the CCW challenge asked us to say why this celebration was so important -I love a good wedding, especially a family one, the last time we all met was my Grandad's funeral and it was such a sad occassion - it was so good to see all my family at a happy occasion, my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins are spread all over the country from Cornwall to Surrey and it was good to see each other on such a wonderful day. Another wedding LO to follow soon and I will also use this challenge to make a card!!! - so watch this space!!

A few more cards!

Over on creative craftworld there is this challenge - and I have already used it on a LO so I decided to make a card with the same sketch.
I have used stamping up cardstock, inks and star stamps. The stars are punched out using SU star punch and have been embossed using the cuttlebug and star embossing folder.
I have used American craft thickers for the brackets and used some bling to sparkle my stars! The sentiment is also stamping up and has all been stuck to the card using 3D foam pads

Another card which I made and entered into the local village horticultural show - and I am please to say I got 3rd place!! She is a sugar nellie image coloured in using Prisma pencils. Bazzill cardstock cut out using Nestabilities and the glittered using stickles. Stampin up background stamp, Basic grey PP, prima flower, ribbon, pin, beads and brads are from my stash and the sentiment is stamping up.

From an idea I found in a cardmaking sketch book - a 40th birthday card for a friend. I have used MME PP, Basic Grey Brads, and pearls and bubble wrap - I hope he loves it!!

Ps - the photo I entered into the local show was the sunset at Bosham photo and I was awarded 2nd place :-) - very pleased!!

I have used American craft thickers for the title and the stars are punched out of fancy pants PP using SU punch and I have placed them on foam pads to make them 3D
The Journalling box is making memories and the Toy Story 3 picture is from a puzzle sheet I picked up at the cinema!!
