and few more from the 70's and 80's!

A few more LO's of old photos - the one below I'm not sure about as I struggled with the photo as its not a good one - but again the only one of my 1st Christmas. Used inkadinkadoo stamps, Sizzix Santa head and MM glitter alphabet.
The fantastic thing about many of the Basic Grey ranges is that they are fab for 70's photos!!
Photo of my 2nd birthday with my Mum and Nan and me at age 4. The ribbon is American Crafts and the chipboard candles, slider from stash and chipboard 2. BG range is 2scoops. The butterfly ribbon I bought at my local fabric shop, Rainboots AC thickers, Doodlebug buttons, BG range - Urban Prairie - used my Martha Stewart lace punch for the edges.

My first perm!!! and my 10th Birthday. Doodlebug glitter chipboard letters and Prima painterly flowers - all metal embellishments from stash (think they were Dovecraft), Papermania alpha. The first time I've also attempted a bit of hand doodling - and actually it doesn't look too bad!!!

Again as always - Thanks for looking

What do you do when its a Sunday afternoon and its chucking it down with can't get on the PC as hubby is glued to it.....can't watch the TV as Sam is playing on the Wii......can't watch TV upstairs as Jack is watching a DVD....and you will do anything but the huge pile of ironing sitting in the sort through old photographs!!!
I have currently run out of coloured ink on my printer and photographic printing paper so if I want to do any scrapbooking then its old photos sitting in a box! I don't have a huge pile of photos from my childhood, some are discoloured and some are damaged but I've decided to take the plunge and stick them to paper!! I have a 8.5 x 11 album sitting empty on the side too!
All the cardstock I have used is American Crafts - they are sold in packs of 60 lose sheets and I have the Earth tones, Brights and Primaries you can get them here at Sarahs Cards. I love these sets as sometimes it is easier to take these to crops than my 12 x 12 cardstock.
The above LO is the earliest photos I have of my parents together - taken in 1970 when they got married and when the attended a wedding later that year. The butterfly embossed paper is SEI, BG Opaline pearls, Rainboots AC thickers, Making Memories butterfly charm.
1st photo of me - think I am about 4 months - the photos are very yellow and damaged (hence the flowers!). Prima Flowers, K&Co pink glitter alpha, ScrapFx chipboard swirl painted with Blonde Moments paint, PP DCWV Nanna's Nursery - girl.

One of my fav pics of me and my little sister - Rebekah, with Copper the cat. Basic Grey PP (Mellow and Ambrosia), Papermania alpha (loving these new alpha stickers at the moment!), WRMK Grommets, brads from stash and butterfly charm as before.

Me at 5 - about to have my hair dried - obviously off to a party as this was a bridesmaid dress I had worn the prev year. Heidi Grace rub-ons, Inkadinkado stamps (these stamps are fab!!) with pearl bling as before.

Me at 14. Papers are again SEI (yummy and shimmery!), BG chipboard numbers painted and embossed using Blonde Moments paint and embossing powder. WRMK grommet, Bling is also Basic Grey (under 14)

The only photo (and a bad one at that) of me when I did Work Experience at a Vet's surgery. PP is Basic Grey Periphery, chipboard letters from stash, WRMK grommet, Papermania alpha stickers.

Me at 18 - long permed hair - how 80's!!!
Making Memories glitter alpha, Inkadinkado stamp (gold ink - doesn't show up very well on photo) and lots of raindrops - Cloud 9.
Thanks for looking - I'm sure there will be more to follow if it keeps on raining!!

the end is here!

Sorry for the delay in updating, but since school finished last week I've still be busy (Jack's birthday - photos to follow!)
Below is the final 3 albums I've made - I've not bored you with all the pages inside or this blog post would go on forever!
Below are some of the cards I made for staff at the school too.
This one is for Mrs Day as Jack loved the term they did Dragonology, so I thought this stamp would be the most appropriate! The knight and dragon (thanks Joan) are both Whiff of Joy stamps - coloured in with Pro-markers and Prisma pencils. Papers are from Cre8tive.
Ribbon, pins, beads and charms from stash, sentiment from Stampin Up!, Prima flower.

These 2 cards were for Sam's LSA's Mrs Cox and Mrs Swinyard - using hÄnglar & stÄnglar stamps which I would love but we can't get in this country! I stamped these images using Helen's stamps (thanks Helen!). Again coloured in using Prisma Pencils and stash etc is as before.
The cards below are using the Gorjuss Girls
I just love these stamps and I have used Basic Grey - Lime Rickey papers. Embellishments, flowers and sentiment as before.

and one of my favourite stamps at the moment is the Magnolia Lion - he is so cute!
So that's it! My boys have left our village primary school and in September will start new schools. Their final day was a sad day and poor Jack sobbed his little heart out at the school leavers assembly. Sam didn't really understand he was leaving :-( I was sad to leave too as I have been a very active parent in the school and I will miss all the staff, parents and children too.
Here's to the six weeks of the summer hols - I will be so glad to have a break from scrapbooking school photos which I have been doing for the last 6 weeks!

More Stuff for School!!

I've been a woman on a mission...........or as my hubby puts it - a women possessed!! The house is a tip...the ironing is the pile the size of a small mountain.....and there is no food in the house (note to self - remember to update Tescos delivery for Monday!!)
I have been a scrapping diva - busy either making stuff for school staff members/pupils or I have been in school taking photos or making scrapbooks with year 6 - and just to think on Tuesday it will all be over! *sob!*
I made 29 ATC cards for Sam's class
Just a little something to say thank you for being my friend

I've used Stampin Up! stamps, coloured in with Pro-Markers and everything else has been printed on the PC

I even scanned in Sam's signature and printed so he didn't have to write 29 cards!

I have also wrapped 28 candles for every staff member of the school!

Again using the Stampin Up stamp and punch (I'm loving this new punch!).

I have also made this canvas for the school secretary - who has known my boys since they were babies - and I also went to school with her daughter! Sam adores Mrs Miller and will miss her lots - so I made her this so she can put it on her desk at work!

Close up of the flower and charm. I've used Bazzill throughout!

I am off to a crop - til - you - drop today and my mission is to finish 3 mini albums and make 10 cards! So watch this space!!!

The Wind in the Willows

School Production of The Wind in the Willows - Jack played the part of a weasle - he had to be a dark and mean character and I have to say he was fab!!! I was so proud of him!
We have been waiting all year for the school production (well you could say 7 years!!), the KS2 summer production has always been good and year 6 get the main roles, supported by a year 5 choir.
Jack was one of 3 weasles and had a couple of great one liners....and he was great! Actually all of year 6 were fantastic and I can honestly say it was one of the best school productions I've ever seen! Its only 6 more days and my boy leaves primary school! Where has the last 7 years gone??

Thanks for looking

This is me!

This is me! - well its not really - it Sam!
This book was inspired by Ali Edwards from her book Sharing Your Story. Its a fab book and I have almost 100% scraplifted her idea of a book she did for her son.
Ali's book is 5 x 8 where as mine is A4 and I have lamininated every page so they are easy to clean and will not get grubby - especially as Sam looks at this book everyday - he loves it!
The main reason I have made this book is for St Anthony's School - Sam's new school he starts in September. It is a tool for Sam's new teachers and assistants, I have made it as an introduction to Sam - his likes, dislikes, obsessions etc. This will hopefully help them with Sam's first few months at his new school in September.

Sam took his 'This is me' book with him when he had his morning at St Anthony's school last week - and I am pleased to say it was a huge success with his new teachers.

The album has approx 25 pages and the good thing is pages can be added and removed. Also a friend of mine ame up with a good idea - if I need to add pages I can make them a different colour so this will alert the school to look in his book.
The good thing about this book is it is a wonderful memory of what Sam is like at age 8 - and I am sure we will look back at it one day with smiles of what his little obsessions were (even thought they drive us up the wall at the moment!). I would like to thank Ali for this fantastic idea, thanks to her wonderful book for Simon - Sam has one too and I know this will help so much with his early days at his new school.

Missing in Action!

So sorry I've been a bad blogger but life is MANIC!!! As many of you parents and teachers know the end of the summer term is a busy one - however this year with both boys moving schools it is 10 times worse!! I have had parents evenings, change up days, buying new school uniform, sports events, assembly, choir concert and next week we have the long awaited school production - Wind in the Willows! I have also been a crafting demon and the boys school albums are finished! Between them there are over 150 pages!

A couple of pages from Jack's album
and Sam's album too!

I am also in the process of finishing mini albums for Sam's LSA's, and a mini album for Jack's class teacher.
I made 27 mini albums for Jack's class - they are in the process of making a Memory book which will stay in school, and I made all of Year 6 mini albums so they could make their own mini book. They are all 6x6, bound together using my Bind it all and I cut their names out using my Cricut.

Jack's album

On the spine of every album they had a little charm attached

I spent all Tuesday afternoon in school helping with their pages.....along with boxes of paper, my Cuttlebug and Cricut - we had a great afternoon!
I am also making 30 little ATC's for Sam's class to say goodbye - hopefully soon I'll have some photos to show you!
That's all for now - thanks for looking!
