Scrap Your Day

I started Shimelle's and UK Scrappers - Scrap Your Day - challenge in July, so I am a few months behind everyone else as most started in April. I have however finally finished my album cover using January's Bad Girls kit, lots of paint, bling and glue!
The letters are Tim Holtz grunge board and they have been painted using Blonde Moments paint - Sugar Lilac and Adirondack Dabber - Pearl. I have painted the butterfly using the same and stuck some papermania and cloud 9 gems.

The crown and ribbon was in the kit

Butterfly stickers are from Accessorize (not in the kit!)

I will try and post some pages and the back cover over the next couple of days but now the light is too poor for photos!

Fabric CJ

My most recent addition to the Fabric CJ I have joined on UKS
I have used a pocket from an old pair of jeans that used to belong to Sam (therefore small pockets:)) - I have sewn the pocket to the page and I added the beads and the flower embellishment. Inside the pocket is a little blue bird that I made.
The blue bird is cut of of some blue cotton (I traced around an acetate bird shape I had) I have sewn round using red cotton and filled the bird with quilt wadding, red buttons for eyes and the bird is attached to the pocket with some red ribbon.
I really enjoyed doing this months entry - I hope the recipient likes it too!

70th birthday card

I have used Edwin with Football and he has been coloured in with Pro-Markers, the cardstock has been embossed using one of the cuttlebug birthday embossing folders. MM Glitter alphabet and ribbon and pins are from my stash.

Thanks for looking:)

SLYMI week 4 - follow the sketch!

This week we were challenged to use the below sketch.

Seeing as Toby and I had a bit of a pre-birthday photo shoot I decided to scrap the photos I had taken of Toby when I was looking after him last Thursday (Toby doesn't belong to me, he belongs to my friend Rachel). He was a little sweetie and I got lots of fab pictures of him!

I have used Bazzill cardstock, font was cut out on the Cricut Expression using the Opposites Attract cartridge and AC Thickers, Carolee's Creations mini alpha and WRMK Grommets.

Scrap Like You Mean It!!

I have started the SLYMI challenge set by Shimelle on UKS and I quickly did week one but got behind on wk 2 and 3 - but here they are! Wk 2 we had to use stars or hearts on our LO - if you look carefully there are stars on this LO!! I have doen this LO using the December Bad Girls kit - which I have to say I have really struggled with as it really isn't my sort of thing - but I wouldn't let it beat me!! - I have also use Pencil Lines sketch 118.

Wk 3 SLYMI challenge was use chipboard - I have used a chipbaord B and the diecuts are stuck on chipboard to get the LO some depth. I have used My Minds Eye - 29th Street Market - Brothers papers and diecuts - I love this LO - photo of my boys playing together (a rarity!) on the Wii - New Years Day. The green is a bit brighter IRL!!

New Year Luck!

This photo was taken on Sunday 11th and scrapped the same day! I have scrapped it as part of the UKS/Shimelle challenge - Scrap Like You Mean It! We had to scrap in out favourite colour and pink is probably mine! The photo is of our fingers getting ready to snap the turkey wishbone from our christmas turkey which has been drying by the cooker! Daddy decided the whole family needed to snap the bone and make a wish but not tell each other the wish....and of course Mummy just had to catch the moment on camera!!

I have used DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies Paper, Heidi Grace strips of PP, DCWV chipboard butterflies, Cloud 9 pink raindrops, K&Co Pink Sparkle Glitter alphabet, Technique Tuesday Ali Edwards Stamps, Prima Pebble.

Close up of the Prima Pebble (Which is rather large!!) and of the cloud 9 pink raindrops

Journal Your Christmas 2008

As promised my Journal Your Christmas album - a project by Shimelle that ran from December 1st until Jan 6th (12th Night) - I really enjoyed this class and I took the advice from some fellow scrappers and prepared my album before the class started and I found this a lot easier! I have used a MM chipboard album but I removed the posts and held it together using book rings as as I knew the album was going to become very bulky!

Front Cover and full album!

A selection of days - I've not posted all 37 days - you would be here forever and find it very boring!

Day 9 and Day 10

Day 12 and Day 14

Day 16 and Day 17

Day 23 and Day 24

Day 28 and Day 29

Day 30 and Day 33

LO 48 - Success - 365 Challenge

Hi - and sorry I've not blogged for ages...........but Christmas is such a manic time of year and the the new year saw out PC out of action for nearly a week and no photos were uploaded. I have been taking part in Shimelles - Journal Your Christmas - which is now complete and I will update my blog with some photos soon! However the end of 2008 saw the end of my 365 Challenge with Anna Bowkiss - this LO 48 (only another 4 more to catch up on!!)

Used - Crate papers, Fancy Pants - Splendid, Prima Flower, AC Thickers, Ali Edwards - Technique Tuesday stamps. I used the quote from this week - "If cold December gave your birth, the month of snow, ice and mirth, place on your hand a turquoise blue, success will bless whatever you do. - Anon" I just had to scrap this photo of Sam with his letter from WSCC - who's logo happens to be a turquoise blue colour - we have finally had confirmation in writing Sam will move change schools and start at St Anthony's Special Needs School in September 2009 - the best christmas present we could have ever asked for!!
