Scrummy Stash Cafe

Hi - Sorry I've not blogged for a few days - but sometimes life just gets in the way! I have been scrapbooking thanks to the Scrummy Stash Cafe team. They have had a fab Cybercrop weekend and there has been some great challenges and classes. There is still time to add your contribution - so go for it!

My first LO is Maria's Challenge and LO30 from my 365 challenge - Maria challenged us to scrap a photo of ourselves using 5 words to describe yourself and Anna's prompts were - Who? What? Where? Why? When?
I have used the Scrummy Stash Cafe Bliss kit, Autumn Leaves Stamps and Making Memories Eyelets.

My 2nd LO is Rachael's Class - using Dimension - Photo of my 2 boys Jack and Sam

I have used Imaginise Lets Pretend - Smarty Pants and Spaceman Jammies patterned paper, American Crafts ribbon, MM glitter alpha and Doodlebug rub-ons.

Some of the stars are mounted on foam pads to give it that dimension - I love the colours of the Imaginise papers they are fun to use with photos of the boys!
My 3rd LO - is my Favourite - Maria's Class - a photo of my Hubby, Pete.

This was the use of making homemade acetate - I used the Scrummy Stash Cafe June kit - but substituted the Crate paper for Basic Grey Periphery (I had already used the crate paper!!) This was a fab class Maria and I really enjoyed doing it!
the above photo is a close up of the tag/embroidery/stamped flower on the corner of the photo - the whole design of this LO is very effective - Go and have a go!!
Thanks as always for looking and your comments

The summer is back! We have blue skies and sunshine :o)

Prompt 217 - 365 Challenge
“No person ever ended his eyesight by
looking on the bright side.”
—Zig Ziglar (b. 1926), author, motivational

I think sometimes all of us need to look at life as Sam does. He has good days and bad, but he always looks for the best in life. Sam's LSA at school always said that Sam can be so positive in a situation (he will Say 'well done' if he has completed a task) and is an example to us all. Another word used to describe Sam is 'a character' - a visitor to the school said "Sam certainly adds a colour to the rainbow of the school"
I feel through his eyes he always tries to look on the bright side of life, he sometimes finds it hard and with those beautiful eyes he does it so well!

Happy Birthday to my little sister Rebekah - I hope she is having a good day and I miss her lots as she lives all the way up in Chester with her hubby David and 3 children. I did however make her this card!

It is one of my Tilda Magnolia stamps, using Love Elsie embossed cardstock, papermania patterned paper, cuttlebug embossing folder, blossoms from my stash, Heidi Swapp stamp and Tilda is coloured in using Prisma pencils, paper stumps and sansador.

British summertime!!! It has been raining most of the day!
Prompt 215 - 365 Challenge
Happiness... is not a destination: it is a
manner of traveling.Happiness is not an end in itself. It is a by-product of
working,playing, loving and living.
~ Haim Ginott
Happiness is lying on the kitchen table and getting away with it - because I just have to look at my Mummy with those yellow eyes and roll over on my back - I get away with it every time!!!

Yesterday was our yearly day out with the girls! (aka Steph and family!) - we went to Goodwood Ladies Day (and it rained!) However rain never stopped us having a fab day and on checking my money when I got home I had spent £18 (not as good as last year when I actually came home with more than I left with!!).

Yesterday's 365 challenge quote was:
"Listen to the Musn't's child, Listen to the Don't's. Listen to the Shouldn't's, the Impossibles, the Won't's. Listen to the Never Haves, then Listen close to me. ANYthing can happen, child, ANYthing can Be.”

—Shel Silverstein (1930-1999), poet, songwriter, musician

I should't bet on the horses (its a mugs game!), I musn't lose too much money (I have children to feed!) It is impossible to win anything! (well I was only putting £2-£4 per race!) Well anything can happen - I was having bad luck - wasn't winning anything!! I decided for the last race to phone Jack - told him to pick a number between 1 and 22 and he choose 8 - I put £2 (last of the big spenders!) on number 8 (Total Impact) to win - and it did - we won £14.00!!!! I only had £7.00 of this as I agreed to split the winnings with Jack! - Anything can happen!
